    Job Description:
    The Marketing & Social Media Internship with the Beaver County Cancer & Heart Association (BCCHA) is an entry-level position for interns aimed at providing real-world experience leading the marketing & social media efforts of BCCHA. While our company has been around since 1955, we are in a stage of growth and are looking for a motivated individual who is growth-minded, social media savvy, detail-oriented, and creative who can take the reins on expanding our brand and let the residents of Beaver County know who we are and what we do.     In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Understanding the BCCHA brand, client base, programs, and all other aspects of the organization.
    • Ensuring all marketing efforts are authentic and brand related.
    • Brainstorming new initiatives, trends, campaign ideas, etc. and providing recommendations that will help further enhance our brand and/or customer experience.
    • The management of all social media platforms and content, including but not limited to:
      • 2 posts per day per platform (Monday-Friday).
        • Facebook
        • Instagram
        • LinkedIn
      • Analyzing analytics of campaigns and preparing reports to present to Director.
    • Most of the marketing efforts, including but not limited to:
      • Flyers
      • Presentations
      • Newsletters
      • Online reviews
      • Updates to the website
        • Communicating with our marketing agency
    • Completing research on the following topics:
      • Heart health (new findings, statistics, articles, tips, etc.)
      • Cancer (new findings, statistics, articles, tips, etc.)
    • Engaging with clients by answering phones (when needed), emails, reviews, etc.
    • Planning & executing events and event-related tasks, when needed.
    • Any other urgent tasks as determined by the BCCHA Director.
    Details of the position:
    • 2-week minimum in-office training to begin your internship (hybrid option may be approved upon performance evaluation).
    • Once per week check-ins with Director.
    • Tablet (with keyboard & mouse) provided.
    • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am-3pm (preferred).
      • Still must meet daily post requirements (Mon-Fri & weekend holidays).
      • If more hours are needed to meet class requirements, we are happy to help.
    • Agree to abide by the policies and procedures of BCCHA.
    • Compensation to be discussed later.
